Robert Scoble: The Blogger King

story links: Robert Scoble | Jeff Pulver | Jeff Jarvis | zefrank | Google

From the Hollywood Hills to an undisclosed location in Silicon Valley, I tracked down the King of the Bloggers, Robert Scoble.

Robert is one of the most positive and delightful people that I have had the pleasure to know. I interviewed him for the McVlog, and also enjoyed his company over dinner. I also had the pleasure of meeting his lovely wife Maryam.

I can see why Robert has become such a force and voice in technology. He is candid, curious and has a certain kindness.

Although he should never be underestimated, for he will confront evil in his online persona "The Scobleizer".

I am looking forward to his video work coming soon. I would like to see where his curious mind takes us. And Robert, my vote for the name of your show is "The Scoble Show". 'Nuff said.

Here you can see our report, and also a more complete interview with Robert.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Daniel,

Now I see what it takes to become a blogger of note. There is absolutely no hope for me. One needs to procure a warehouse to stock an array of very tight T-shirts with ones photo emblazoned thereupon, so tight that they reveal every rib and tendon. Oh yes, very fetching. Woof-woof. You have set the trend and I shall follow shortly but I shall wet my shirts before allowing a camera to shoot. Please visit my humble self-effacing blog of NO interest and place some worldly advice thereon. Thank you.

Regards,
Coral

Hello to all...and thanks to whoever made this a blog of note. I will step up my game more, and I have an announcement coming on a future McVlog.

I will be checking out all your blogs...but BENJAMIN T. MYERS, sorry about the girlfriend. Maybe you should meet Coralpoetry, she has lovely pictures of flowers and delightful and interesting poetry.

I love the McBlog.

It was interesting last night I was walking through the park and I saw a sea turtle. The sea turtle was black with blue and green polka dots. It was flying right at me.

Luckily, I ran out into my truck and I realized the truth: there was no truck. The truck was simply a creation of my imagination.

This goes to prove the power of the law of attraction. We attract into our reality what we really are. You see that's why ugly people get married. Like attracts like. It's fairly simple when you really break it down.

I was talking to Peter the other day my pet goldfish and he told me that turtles only use turtle wax. This is the key to understanding the importance of always putting the right amount of air pressure in tires.

I hate marshmellows.

So, if you want to change your life you must do three things:

(1) Only eat the gumballs that you buy for a quarter.
(2) Set big goals.
(3) Work towards them.

I like you're vlogs. You have a good format and a fun way of presenting your information. I've recently started vlogging and am always glad to see the vlogs of others, I realize it's a growing trend but has not really become 'mainstream' yet...I think it almost has that rebel feel to it.

Daniel,

Is life a slippery downward spiral once you’ve scored your first par, or double-bogey, whatever that might be? No point in aiming for condors and eagles, I suppose?

Coral

P.S. Is it possible to switch the auto start off on the video so that once it has played there's the option to leave it like that. My html has an auto start=false (or true) option. Not that your blog is any of my business but I returned to read the comments and the video plays every time.

danielmcvicar said...

Hi Coral..no it is on autostart, so you must reach for the pause button.

I will be posting a new McVlog on Monday...

Daniel,

Thank you, thank you thank you for reading my blog (is that enough grovelling for one day?). Seriously…I am very grateful. Oh my!! I forgot about the “pause button”. I thought they were bread sticks to accompany the blog tapas. Sorry.

Hey, and what happened to Gordon Moss (one of your responders). I placed a seriously creative reply to his blog and it vaporized in cyberspace.

Regards,
Coral

P.S. I look forward to your next vpodcast. I hope there will be an interview with a poet. Billy Collins is my favourite. I missed a date to attend a reading by Billy a few of weeks ago because I was languishing in hospital. Abandoning that venue hurt more than anything.

Great to see you enthusiastic about the medium and getting it right: videoblogging's success rests upon the hunge amount of emotional information contained in motion pictures. That allows intense community. Transparency.

Good luck and welcome to the vlogosphere!

thanks for all your comments, and I like to leave all comments. Sorry I had to remove a couple that were spamlike.

I will be taking you all to lunch on Monday.

A friend of mine bought a car from Farmerville Motors in Farmerville LA. They sold him a flood car and rigged the car so it would pass inspection. They are a fraudulant business and should be avoided at all costs. Farmerville Motors sells flood cars be aware.

Dan,

From one blogger to another, good work here!

I've been at this blogging thing for over two years, and I'm looking to be interviewed again, this time by someone for whom English is a first language, if possible.

Stop by and check out my blog; maybe you'll have a chuckle or two.
